This is a piece done for Radical Empathy's Let's Paint The Streets Project. They posted a call for artists to design the sides of electrical boxes that will go up in Washington DC's Logan circle. The theme of the project was rebirth and transformation. Artists were asked not to use known figures and text. This piece, Declined, and Transformation were selected to be featured in the project. The piece represents how the black community is the foundation of this community and how building over it will never extinguish our mark and influence. This box can be found in the neighborhood Logan Circle on the corner of 13th and S Street NW in Washington DC.
